We Might Have Missed the Point of the Crucifixion

~it was really Jesus, leading by example, to show us that the way to eternal life is achieved by not fearing death~

Fear of sin is poppycock-we are all sinners and saints at the same time because we have both the feminine and masculine spirits operating within us. While on Earth, we are captive in and by our bodies. But we came from elsewhere and we are only here for a time. When we are released from our bodies we return to the realm of Light and higher consciousness; we are released from the dark unconscious of ego.

It wasn’t as the Bible purports, and as biblical revisionists interpreted the Old Testament, that Jesus had to be sacrificed for humanity to receive redemption from God,

Jesus showed us what great things we humans are capable of, IF WE DO NOT FEAR DEATH.

If we do not fear death, we are free, because no one can use fear to control us, or to get us to do the wrong thing-previously, this was done by misrepresenting the will of god to god-fearing people; nowadays, our ‘democratic’ governments use fear-mongering and publicly, with the help of the media and the ditching of ‘due process’, shaming folks into compliance.

It is ego that fears death because ego is death, per se: of unchanging, immutable form; whereas the human spirit is the formless, boundless ‘blueprint’ and basis from which our bodies are derived and with which we interact with all ‘life’.

Whereas the spirit remains connected to god (the great spirit), the body allows our spirit to interact with all of the other forms creation gives rise to; but it also runs interference in the connection between the individual spirit and the great spirit

to the point where, if the ego is all that the individual is conscious of, the individual no longer senses god, the divine, and in the end, if they ‘think’ (‘thinking’ is not consciousness per se) about god at all, out of their abject blindness, they will convince themselves that ‘There is no god!’

Jesus did not fear death enough to avoid it. He spoke his truth and lived his life honestly, openly…there was no guile in this man. He only saw that the world of humans was upside down…that all of the misery was unnecessary, that god did not want sacrifices, but rather, for us to show love to one another, which amounts to the Golden Rule. nothing complicated.

So he went around talking about it and people began to follow him around while he talked about it.

He went around in all innocence, he only wanted people to look out for one another, but, wealth acquisition/preservation is in direct defiance of the Golden Rule- for, to ‘get rich’, you have to profit; you have to get more value than your product/labour is actually worth. The buyer has to pay more in value than he/she actually gets.

That is the motif of capitalism/neoliberalism. That is why the world is in the mess it is in.

Wealth will fight to maintain its position. Wealth does not care for the weight it exerts on the people who have to live below it, in order to prop up Wealth’s unnaturally elevated lifestyles. Wealth is what finds it necessary to govern by fear.

It was Wealth, back in the day, which determined Jesus should die. Jesus was a ‘socialist’. Jesus was a humanist. He believed in equality of everyone. He preached forgiveness, not retribution. He pointed out the perils of wealth –the spiritual perils of wealth.

Wealth already knows that its ego weighs upon the spirit of wealthy folks so great that their spirit is anchored to the material. Their spirit is anchored to the material because their consciousness is limited to that OF THE MATERIAL. They cannot sense god or the messaging of the spiritual realm, because, consciousness-wise, they are simply looking the wrong way.

But just like the pedestrian who crosses the street without looking both ways, what is coming is going to flatten you. Ignoring it will not make it go away.

The poor are blessed, as Jesus is purported to have said in the Beatitudes (and this is something I believe Emperor Constantine never interpolated). They are forced to appreciate the beauty of life, the Commons, because they cannot afford the trinkets of human manufacture. They are already open to the messaging of the creator. [Aside: neoliberalism seeks to attach monetary value to every element of human existence; in this way, everyone will need money to do anything, and those who control the money, have COMPLETE CONTROL OVER EVERYONE BELOW. Totalitarianism is the OBJECTIVE AND CULMINATION OF neoliberalism, fascism, capitalism, authoritarianism….THAT IS WHY, AS TIME GOES ON, XI HAS APPEARED MORE LIKE US AND WE LIKE XI…to the point where we will converge and become indistinguishable, East from West, eastern autocracy v. western rule from Mt. Olympus.]

The poor can channel the power of the creator.

This is a threat to Wealth. It is why religion is under assail by our modern governments, even ‘sunny-ways’ Trudeau is on that bandwagon, among many others, all designed to further a fascist corporate agenda…I admired his dad as a teenager growing up and I want to like him too. But there is too much of the contrivance of wealth about him. Appearance v. Reality. [p.s. I so want to be wrong on this point].

Joshua used ‘God’ to convince his people to do murder to innocent men, women, and children who called the so-called ‘Promised Land’ their home and happened to be in the way; Wealth is determined to take the place of god, move god out of the way, and do the job themselves. Trouble with this is, they are embarrassingly unqualified.

So, we can worship the ‘J. Bozos’ of the World, with the assistance of Wealth’s acolytes in the media, for going into low orbit in his own ‘commuter’ rocket (or was it one of Elon’s?) or some other corporate ‘star’ – yes, ‘star’ is the way a reporter described some arse in a business suit prepared to waste billions on stroking his own ego rather than all of the people $5B could feed, clothe and house! Can you believe it?

They are even using children to promote their ego-stroking, socially-rapacious agendas: if it weren’t for Canadian Tire’s kid’s programs, no one of the rank-in-file would be playing hockey! But wait! If it weren’t for the low wages/benefits or family-unfriendly work schedules which accompany part time retail gigs, we wouldn’t need Canadian Tire’s ‘help’ to get our kids into hockey.

The list of inversions (and perversions of democratic aspirations) goes on and on. Private property, beyond what is needed to live on or conduct your business is in conflict with the Commons. People with money buy property and people without money must always go around or risk an encounter with our Police folks. The trouble is, how does anyone do anything or go anywhere without money?

The poor have to stay out of the way, or they will be tossed into jail. By the way, the wealthy do not seem to think that people who sleep among garbage on subway gratings downtown Toronto are ‘in the way’, but they appear to see homeless people who seek the safety and dignity of numbers in a park encampment, as being in the way.

Hmmm….

Ego – the final frontier

Standard

The gates of Hell are locked from the inside.’ C. S. Lewis– I had written the exact same words only the other night: ‘The doors of ego are locked from the inside,’ meaning, you cannot change someone else’s ego, ONLY YOUR OWN.

Dying to Self, that’s how we’re born to eternal life.’ says the Prayer of St. Francis. That’s our ticket out of our ego; OUT OF OUR HELL. We can so totally find our way back to the Garden in time for this generation’s children to fully enjoy, for this generation’s adults to fully embrace, and for the generations of good souls who have suffered and died before to finally achieve release and dance and sing and frolic among the Stars forevermore.

Our earthly sojourn is all about finding the doorway out of the ego (ego is a veil which keeps the soul in darkness, enervating and suffocating it).

Plants follow the Sun as it tracks across the sky. They grow taller in their season, as they ‘reach’ for the Source. Our daily purpose is to be conscious of the Source, to reach for it, to be always cognizant of the ‘direction’ in which the Source lay…to be conscious of it. That’s the ‘moral compass’ we are all gifted with.

To do this properly, one must endeavour to be conscious of right NOW. That is the ‘sine wave’ our consciousness must centre around, as we oscillate between ego and outward consciousness. ‘Now’ transcends thought/thinking, for while you are paying attention to your thoughts, while you are translating consciousness into words (in your head), you are in ego-mode. You have phased somewhat outside of the NOW.

Outside of the NOW can only be understood as being either ‘in the past’ (where your mind renews energies/rekindles emotions of Past events, or, in the future (where your mind ‘creates’ energies/emotions out of things that have not, and may not, ever happen).

If I am truly conscious and not just ‘lost in my own thoughts’, I already know what is happening and am already engaged with what to do about it. I need not put my knowing into words/thoughts.

The danger is, as we age, we tend to live out more of our lives inside our homes and inside our heads. We surmise what people are thinking without asking them. We often tell them what they should do about this or that, with good intentions most of the time, without taking the time to full understand what they are going through. We have our politicians running around claiming ‘Canadians want this, or Canadians want that’…but they are so busy talking I don’t know when they actually have had the time to really listen.

We expect people to be accountable to us for what they do and some of us even feel we have to account for ourselves to others, when we do not. WE NEED ONLY ACCOUNT TO OURSELVES, for ourselves.

We have come full-circle.

I began with an observation by C.S. Lewis, and how that speaks to my observations about ego. On Being/All From One – One In All explores the ego and all of its ramifications.

On the outside, beyond the ego-conscious, there is the Light of All Creation; on the inside, there is only the darkness of ignorance, fear/anxiety, or, alternatively regret, coming of the attachment to forms when the only ‘permanence’, form-wise, in Life or in Light, is ‘Change.’

While we are ‘earthbound’ we take on a ‘human form’ that is always changing. We can’t wait to grow up when we are little and afterwards spend big money (if we have any) to keep from getting old too fast. We try not to think about death along the way. All of this is wasted effort and resources, since our human form is bound for the grave. We insanely wile our time away trying to win at a game we know we will lose.

We know we must one day cross the River Styx. The River Styx is the veil providing separation, consciousness-wise, between our inner and outer worlds. It separates the tripartite human spirit (Mind-Heart-Soul) into two ‘world perspectives’: the world of inner consciousness, ‘self-consciousness’, and the world beyond the consciousness of self.

The River Styx is the threshold we must cross to return home again. To cross, we must first open the door and then step through.

That door is locked from the inside.

Only you can open the door. No one else can do that for you; in fact, when they try, pushing as hard as they might, you will either ignore them (not answer the knock) or tell them to ‘go away.’

You will not open the door unless your ego sees something of value in opening the door. When that happens, it is not the door that leads away from ego you are opening, because ego wants to open that door.

That door leads deeper into your ego. Ego’s doors, both of them, open from the inside ONLY.

No one else can open that door. They make it harder for you to open, when they try.

p.s. This is the secret of the effectiveness of fear-based governing. Neo-liberalism appears to rely on human ego’s response to keep us in line; spying upon one another, wary of one another, perpetually at odds with one another; divided, as our liberties continue to erode in the name of our security, to the point where we will one day, in a generation or two, permit our government to be as fascist and totalitarian in deed, if not in name, as China’s and Russia’s.

We much prefer to think of ourselves as ‘democratic’, but we are hard pressed to accord one another the same respect we expect from our governments. As citizens, we must, by our example, show the bozos in Question Period how to comport themselves. In terms of democracy, the citizens ‘reap what they sow’. If we citizens do not engage in the democratic process, patterned upon the Swiss cantons, say, democracy will not engage us.

We need to keep the Golden Rule first and foremost in our hearts and minds. Do that, and, Presto! Heart and Mind are reconciled and together they can do no wrong.

Heart and Mind reconciled. The mind reconciled with the heart has found the door that leads to Creation and the Light.
